Your home will be sold when escrow closes. In any home sale, there are a number of events that need to occur, documents that need to be signed, and money that needs to be exchanged before escrow can close. When escrow is closed, it means that all of these things have occurred and your home has officially been sold.
It is difficult to predict the exact date when escrow will close. However, the offer or counteroffer will generally specify the number of days that escrow will be open. For example, if the offer specifies that escrow will be open for 45 days, you would start counting from the day escrow opened to 45 days in the future, to get a general idea of when your home will be sold.
